We Could Be Inventive: Ideas

This has allowed me to write down all my ideas for the music video.


I have decided that my theme will be Sporting Heroes and Disability Sport. These are both personal to me because of my love for sport and also despite having Cerebral Palsy, I am a Dressage Rider and Platform Diver. I would like this to be an inspirational video to all who watch it.


Diving - I will be filming some of our GB & Olympic Divers at the Plymouth Life Centre. I shall be following them as they go about their daily training routine. This normal consists of 1 hour in the Dry Dive, exercising and practising dives onto crash mats and into the foam pit. This will be followed by a 1 1/2 hour session in the pool.
If I can manage to obtain permission, I hope to get some underwater footage of the divers. This will allow me to capture a wide range of camera angles which will add to the viewers experience.


Anniversary Games - I shall be going to watch the Anniversary Games in London during the summer. This is the 3rd games of this kind since the Olympics in 2012. It is a three day event which includes top world athletes (track and pool) both able bodied and disabled. I am hoping to especially be able to film Richard Whitehead (blade runner) and Ellie Simmonds (swimmer). I also hope to capture a number of extreme long shots that will help to establish the opening of the music video and give the viewer a sense of location.


Wheelchair Basketball - I shall be visiting the University of St Mark & St John (Marjon, Plymouth) where I hope to film wheelchair basketball players in one of their training sessions.


Horse-Riding - As a dressage rider, I would like to add some riding to my video. I am hoping to film one of the dressage riders from RDA where I ride who competes in Regional competitions.
